The Spark Behind Zohra’s Pet Care

​

Zohra’s Pet Care wasn’t born in a corporate boardroom—it was born from a passion for animals and a desire to change how pet care works.

​

After earning her Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from CU Boulder, Zohra found herself at a crossroads in a challenging tech job market. Instead of waiting for the perfect corporate desk job, she decided to channel her analytical mind, attention to detail, and lifelong love for animals into building something of her own.

As she looked into the pet care industry, she was shocked by what she found: corporate kennels and massive app-based platforms constantly upcharging pet parents. Basic necessities—like an extra 15 minutes of play, a neighborhood walk, or mental stimulation—were locked behind steep premium fees. Zohra knew she could provide a far superior, deeply personal experience for the exact same price, or even less. And with that, Zohra’s Pet Care was born.

The Dream Team: How We Care for Your Pup

While Zohra is the founder, main caregiver, and the friendly face giving your pups their outdoor neighborhood adventures, this is a true family operation.

Jon works from home on his own flexible schedule, meaning our home front is always fully staffed and highly attentive. While Zohra is out making her rounds for walking clients, Jon holds down the fort at home. Your dog is never just a number in a crowded kennel; they are a part of our household, receiving continuous supervision, companionship, and care throughout the entire day.

Meet Our Pack

When your dog stays with us, they aren’t just hanging out with humans—they get to interact with our own wonderful resident assistants:

• Maui: Our vibrant Australian Shepherd is the ultimate social coordinator! She has a world’s worth of love for new dogs and is full of playful energy. Maui makes it her personal mission to ensure every guest dog gets their full share of fun, chasing toys, and running around the yard.

• Mac: Our miniature Dachshund is the elder statesman of the house. He is old, kind, docile, and gentle. Mac prefers to supervise the action from a comfortable distance, offering a calm, reassuring presence for dogs who might be a little older or prefer a quieter environment.
